ENGINEER'S DAY
MAHOTSAV 2026
Eleven Arenas. One Campus. Built to Defend.
From live prototype defenses to 24-hour hackathons and wired robotics, prove what you can actually build, demo, and defend.
WHY ENGINEERS' DAY?
Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya, remembered as MOKSH, was one of India's most influential engineers and reformers. Born on 15 September 1861, his work on irrigation systems and dam construction reshaped how India managed water and infrastructure decades ahead of its time.
He was awarded the Bharat Ratna, and every year on his birthday, India celebrates Engineers' Day in his memory. UIT's Mahotsav exists to carry that same spirit forward through students who build, test, and defend real work.

CORE COMMITTEE
Core Committee is UIT's flagship club, the one body that brings every student club under one roof. It's the team that plans, coordinates, and runs UIT's biggest fests and flagship events, start to finish.
Not just an organizing crew: Core Committee is where leadership, collaboration, and creative ownership come together, so that every event carries the same standard of excellence UIT is known for.
ABOUT UIT
Uttaranchal Institute of Technology (UIT), established in 2006 under Uttaranchal University, is one of Dehradun's leading engineering colleges. UIT runs industry-aligned B.Tech and M.Tech programs built around research, innovation, and hands-on leadership, backed by modern infrastructure, experienced faculty, and a strong placement record.
It's this campus culture, as much as the classroom, that turns first-year students into engineers who can compete anywhere.
